Rules for Rentals

FOREST HILLS FINE ARTS CENTER POLICIES

Food/Beverage

o Food and beverages are not allowed in the theater.
o Food, beverages, or other samples may not be handed out or distributed without advanced
permission from the FAC staff.
o Red beverages are not allowed on the premises.
o Any food items with sprinkles or loose toppings are not permitted on the premises.

Cleaning Fees for Spills and Stains

Please be advised that due to the additional time and resources required to clean food and beverage
spills from theatre seats, flooring, and carpet, a cleaning fee of up to $500 may be charged based
on the severity of the incident following your event. To help avoid these charges, we strongly
recommend monitoring entrances if guests are bringing in items such as coffee or if catering is
part of your event.

Approved Materials for Hanging Items

Adhesive-backed (stick-on) decals, tape, or similar items (excluding name tags) may not be
distributed or used in the building. Only white putty is permitted for hanging materials on walls
or other surfaces. Blue putty is strictly prohibited as it can stain the brick.

Balloon Policy
Helium balloons are not allowed in the building. Please be aware that a retrieval fee of $250 will
be charged for any helium balloons that become loose within our facility. Loose balloons can
obstruct sightlines, cause distractions during events, and pose risks by becoming entangled in
lighting or technical equipment. To avoid this charge and help maintain a safe environment, we ask
that all guests leave helium balloons in their vehicles prior to entering the theatre.

• Groups may only access the areas specified in their contract.
• Shoes must be worn at all times.
• Tap shoes are not allowed in the dance studio or lobby area.
• Parking on loading docks or ramps is prohibited.
• Painting of any type may not be done in the building or on loading docks.
• Any property belonging to the lessee shall be removed by the end of the lease period.
• Flammable materials may not be used. Machinery containing flammable chemicals or fuels may not
be placed or operated on the premises. Use of pyrotechnics or incendiary devices is prohibited.
• Forest Hills Public Schools Fine Arts Center will not accept freight deliveries for any lessee
prior to the move-in on the day of the event. Unless approved by FAC prior. Forest Hills Public
Schools Fine Arts Center will not ship out any freight for any lessee or event.
• Tables, chairs, displays, signs, or other items, may not block entrances, exits, hallways,
stairs, or other methods of egress from the building.
• Tobacco, drugs or alcohol are strictly prohibited in the building or on the grounds.
